The new Volkswagen Tharu officially made its public debut on October 02, 2023 at Volkswagen Pampanga in McArthur Highway, Dolores, City of San Fernando, Pampanga.

#TheTharu is powered by turbocharged 1.5-liter 4-cylinder engine equipped with BlueMotion technology. With a maximum output of 160 horsepower and a maximum torque of 250 Nm, it has 7-speed dual clutch automatic. Geared with up to 12 inches infotainment system, hands-free tailgate system, panoramic sunroof, and dual control climate zone, it gives the user a full digital experience.

Additionally, it comes with 6 SRS airbags, blind spot indicators, rear traffic alert, tire pressure sensors, parking sensors, and ABS with EBD. The 2024 Tharu is available in Pure White, Mangan Gray, Petroleum Blue, and Polytech Blue.
