HOMEGROWN and top non-life insurance firm Corporate Guarantee (CG) and the CLTV Lingap Foundation Inc.(CLFI) of the Laus Group of Companies have joined hands to help an urban poor community in Mabalacat City.
Over the weekend, executives of CG turned over to CLTV officials a P25,000 check donation for some 120 families of the Dolores Riverside Urban Poor Community, which are living under the bridge there.
CG, as part of its yearly commitment plans, participates in a corporate social responsibility activities with its partners to help identified beneficiaries. According to CG Marketing Head Adrian A. Laus, the sponsorship is a way of carrying out its CSR.
“This sponsorship is towards helping communities especially during the unprecedented times of the pandemic. This is our way of helping communities in the countryside,” he said.
He noted that such CSR is deeply rooted in the legacy of LausGroup Founder Levy P. Laus.
“Our founder has left us with such a legacy. He has always said that as we at CG grow, we should always share our blessings and continue to help communities in need,” Laus added.
The actual gift-giving for the Dolores Riverside Urban Poor Community will be on December 10, 2021.
This is the second year in a row that CG has partnered with CLFI in selecting a beneficiary for this year’s CSR in which it pitched in to the relief operations of non-profit organization Center for Emergency Aid, Rehabilitation and Development (Concern) Inc. on December 22, 2020, where 150 marginalized families in Macabebe and Masantol towns affected by typhoons and flooding received assistance.
