WITH the resurgence of Covid-19 cases across the country, the LausGroup of Companies (LGC) fortified its effort to help mitigate the spread of the virus in the region, particularly among its employees and communities across Central and Northern Luzon.
Realizing the importance of disseminating proper information as the government rolls out its vaccination program, LGC has repurposed its quarterly training to discuss the importance of the Covid-19 vaccination to help educate and inform our employees about the ongoing nationwide inoculation.
For the first quarter of 2021, the LausGroup has invited the director of the Institute of Biology and Biotechnology at the National Institutes of Health UP-PGH and well-known infectious disease and tropical medicine specialist, Dr. Edsel Salvana, as its initial guest speaker to help shed light on the importance and the effects of getting vaccinated.
LGC has made this webinar available across its employees, as well as to their families and friends to help inform and educate them and ultimately, become stewards in combating the spread of misinformation.
The LGC has also donated vaccines and has procured for its employees as well.
“The safety and security of our employees have always been one of our top priorities. For us, their vaccination also means more opportunities for us to help the country accelerate recovery from this pandemic. We, at LausGroup of Companies, recognize our role in supporting the Philippine government in safeguarding our people and ensuring they are equipped with information and resources necessary about Covid-19,” said LGC CEO Lisset Laus-Velasco.
As the Covid-19 cases rise in the country’s capital, LGC has enforced a self-imposed ECQ and a stricter set of protocols among its employees. The company has taken it upon itself to limit human interaction even among its offices and dealerships.
“We wanted our employees to continue to feel safe in the workplace as we sustain our operations and for our customers to be reassured when they see that the company is serious about its health and safety protocols. Despite this, we aim to prevent the spread of the virus in the company and our establishments and ensure that we don’t cause any additional cases that would burden our health frontliners in the region,” added Paul Laus, LGC president.
The Pampanga-based giant has also doubled up its safety and security measures across its dealerships in Metro Manila, Central, and Northern Luzon.
As LGC continues to strictly follow all protocols of the Inter-Agency Committee since the start of the pandemic, it has further improved its sanitation measures and provided more ample information on disinfection and social distancing rules in every corner of its dealerships and other offices.
With these initiatives in place, LGC aims to continue its longstanding efforts to promote countryside development and recovery, particularly during this time where the country continues to battle the spread of the virus and misinformation. (PR)
