CLTV36 and its programs were recognized at the 11th Gandingan Awards 2017: University of The Philippines – Los Baños, Isko’t-Iska’s Multimedia Choice Awards held last April 29, 2017 at the DL Umali Auditorium, UP Los Baños. CLTV36 is this year’s winner of the most coveted Gandingan ng Kaunlaran/Most Development-Oriented TV Station beating national TV networks ABS-CBN and GMA7. Aside from winning the top award for TV, its program Public Demand took home the “Most Development-oriented Public Service Program while its host Miss Aizeline David-Manzon was hailed as “Best Public Service Program Host”. Completing CLTV36’s awards are the four (4) Special Citations given to its programs: Totoong Buhay as “Most Development-oriented Drama Program”, Musical Moment as “Most Development-oriented Musical Program” So to Speak as “Most Development-oriented Talk Show” and Sonia P. Soto as “Best Talk Show Host”. The Gandingan Awards is an annual activity of the UP Community Broadcaster’s Society, a duly recognized media-based socio-civic student organization of the University of the Philippines Los Baños. This year’s theme is Sulong Edukasyon with a focus on education which challenges the broadcasting industry to produce development-oriented programs for the benefit of every Filipino. CLTV36 shares this vision with The Gandingan Awards and UP Community Broadcaster’s Society and will continue to improve programs and its mission to be the No. 1 Regional Infotainment Channel dedicated to the upliftment of the lives of the people of Central Luzon.
